Teeing Off for a Cause: Saguaro Medical Transport at the United Stroke Alliance Encompass Health Golf Invitational
At Saguaro Medical Transport, we believe that the best partnerships happen well outside the four walls of a hospital. That’s why we were proud to spend a day on the course at the United Stroke Alliance Encompass Health Golf Invitational an event that brings together stroke care providers, rehab specialists, and community partners to raise funds and awareness for stroke survivors and their families.
Why This Event Matters
The United Stroke Alliance is on a mission to make sure no stroke survivor walks the road to recovery alone. Through programs like Retreat & Refresh Stroke Camp and the Stroke Support Group Registry, they reach thousands of survivors and caregivers every year. Encompass Health, one of the nation’s leading providers of inpatient rehabilitation, has been a long-time champion of that mission and a tournament like this one funnels real dollars into programs that help people rebuild their lives after a stroke.
Stronger Together: Building Partnerships in Stroke Care
Non-emergency medical transportation is a critical link in the stroke recovery chain. Whether it’s a survivor heading to outpatient therapy, a follow-up neurology appointment, or a transfer between an acute care hospital and an inpatient rehab facility, the right ride at the right time keeps recovery on track. Days like this one give our team the chance to connect face-to-face with the hospitals, rehab partners, case managers, and advocacy groups we work alongside every week.
For Dustin, Shaun, and Alan, the day wasn’t just about golf it was about handshakes, hallway conversations, and the kind of relationship-building that makes coordinated patient care possible. The more our partners know who we are and how we operate, the smoother every transport becomes for the patients we share.
Thank You to the Partners Who Made It Happen
A huge thank-you to the United Stroke Alliance, Encompass Health, the event sponsors, and every team that turned out to support stroke survivors this year. We’re already looking forward to next year’s invitational, and to the continued work of supporting our partners, our patients, and our community in between.
